Every year, the City of New Smyrna Beach puts on one of the best 4th of July celebration events in the area at Riverside Park, and this year will be no exception.
Food
Food trucks from all around the Central Florida area will be at the Brannon Center, kicking off the event at 4pm. From barbeque, to desserts, and even a coffee truck to get you that caffeine boost, there will certainly be something for everyone to enjoy. See the list below of what food trucks will be planning to be at the event.
Music
Starting at 5pm, you can find Cactus Jack & The Cadillacs at the Riverside Park Gazebo. A Central Florida classic rock & roll band with over three decades of performing together. You’ll hear all of your favorite classics from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s, adding a great vibe to the atmosphere of the event. The band will be performing up until 9pm, just before the fireworks begin. Check out the link below to learn more about this amazing band.
Fireworks
The main event that everyone looks forward to the most, fireworks! The firework display will begin at 9:15pm, but you will want to find your spot early as the park will get pretty packed in the hour leading up. But, aside from a few trees, you’ll have a great view anywhere from the edge of the river, all the way back to Riverside Drive.
July 5th Clean Up
The events don’t just end after the fireworks are over. The Keep NSB Clean organization will be hosting a beach clean up event at Flagler Ave. Boardwalk in New Smyrna Beach on July 5th at 7am.
Volusia County will also be hosting beach clean ups at the following locations from 8:30am – 10:30am, and are looking for volunteers.
- Tom Renick Park, 1565 Ocean Shore Blvd., Ormond Beach
- Sun Splash Park, 611 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach
- Mary McLeod Bethune Beach Park, 6656 S. Atlantic Ave.
Hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July this year!
